Poblenou Wine Walking Tour

The Dinner Society Barcelona

Over

Poblenou Wine Walking Tour Discover Poblenou through a guided walking tour paired with carefully selected wines by Elo Wines. This experience takes you through former factories, backstreets, and transformation points that shaped the neighborhood long before tech offices and beachfront living. Wine is used as a way to pause, open conversation, and connect stories of trade, identity, and change to the places you are standing in. It is not a standard city tour. And it is not a wine tasting in disguise. Designed for wine lovers with a curious eye. What You Will Experience A slow paced guided walk through Poblenou’s industrial past and present. Stories of factories, workers’ lives, trade routes, war, disappearance, and reinvention. Three wines shared at key moments along the route, chosen for their relevance to place rather than formal tasting. A social and conversational format where wine supports the experience. The Walk at a Glance 13:00 Arrival and First Glass Meeting point at Ca l’Alier. Introduction to Poblenou and its role in Barcelona. Industrial Poblenou Walking through former factory streets and hidden industrial spaces. Fire, War and Second Glass Civil War impact, bombings, erased streets, and what survived. From Ruins to Reinvention and Third Glass Inside visit with a local creative or studio space. Post war transformation and present day Poblenou. Closing End of the walk near Torre de les Aigües del Besòs. The Wines Three wines are served during the walk, each selected for its connection to place, resilience, and transformation. Wine 1 A light and fresh white made from the Altesse grape in Savoie, served at the start of the walk to open conversation. Wine 2 A white blend of Malvasia, Grenache, and Marsanne, shared during the central part of the walk. Wine 3 A biodynamic red from the Southern Rhône, made in limited quantities and served toward the end of the walk to spark reflection and discussion. No wine knowledge is needed. Wines are introduced simply and in context.
